Well done to all of this week’s superstars.

This week, the children have enjoyed recapping our Royalty topic from earlier on in the year and celebrating the King’s Coronation.
Here are some of the things we’ve been up to;
We have had an exciting afternoon starting with a street party, followed by a tree planting ceremony and a crown parade. The children have also had the opportunity to name the coronation bear.
What a great day we have had! We guessed the name of our Coronation Bear, had a whole school lunch, planted our tree and paraded our crowns. See our day in pictures!
WOW! BRILLIANT! BEST DAY EVER! These are just a few things the children said at the end of a fabulous day with Chris today.
Chris showed us all the equipment, showed us how to use it safely, talked about team work and basically let us use our own minds to make our great dens and WOW – WE WERE AWESOME! The communication, concentration and team work was amazing. The leadership and listening skills used were also BRILLIANT!
After constructing our frame with the bamboo sticks and zip ties we then moved on to putting on the roof of our den. Again, we were great, using team work to make our den the best it could be.
After lunch, we had a bit of time to make any changes and to fix our structures (as the wind had been stronger over lunchtime) AND THEN . . . the ‘storm’ came (aka the leave blowers and buckets of water!)
Which shelters kept us dry and which didn’t?
More photos (and hopefully videos) to follow soon.
This week, Reception have explored our outdoor area for living things. There was lots of excitement as we found so many different creatures. We also had the discussion about the need to respect and care for all living things.
Today we have been working on our reaction and response skills to catch a tennis ball.
Year 4 enjoyed being choreographers and produced great routines focusing on the theme of ‘child’s play’ based on Banksy’s artwork – Girl With Balloon.
Year 1 had a great time at Forest School on Monday. They all had toasted marshmallows!
