This week we’ve been learning how to bowl. We didn’t realise how different it was to bowling in other sports. Mrs Buck showed us the technique and we all tried very hard.
We also continued with our batting and fielding skills.

Year 3 PE and Maths.
Well, what a busy week we have had so far in our first week back. Here are a few pics of our cricket lessons and Maths.
We have been learning some rules of cricket, worked on our batting (making sure we have our hands the right way round, hitting with the flat side of the bat and keeping our eyes on the ball) and fielding skills (low barrier) and had great fun.
Maths has been about angles and directions. We started off inside, in the classroom and corridor, looked at a map and then moved to outdoor activities which has helped us already. Well done everyone 👌

Exploring art stimuli in Y4 dance.
Year 4 enjoyed being choreographers and produced great routines focusing on the theme of ‘child’s play’ based on Banksy’s artwork – Girl With Balloon.
PE What's been going on
Year 4 Football Success
A team of Year 4 footballers went to the Cliff training grounds in Manchester this morning to take part in a tournament. They play 7 games against other local schools and were great ambassadors for the school.
Out of the 7 games they drew one and won the rest! Meaning that they came out as overall winners. We are very proud of them all.

British athlete coaches year 5/6
On Friday the 24th of June, British athlete (James Taylor)coaches year 5 and 6.
The children tested their skills on how high they could jump a hurdle
Each time someone jumped across the hurdle the harder it got and higher too.
Approximately 10 minuits into the fun session the British weather started to kick in oceans of rain poured down from the sky.
