Reception had a great afternoon, down in the forest. Lots of smiles and laughter after another busy week!
This week we’ve been learning how to bowl. We didn’t realise how different it was to bowling in other sports. Mrs Buck showed us the technique and we all tried very hard.
We also continued with our batting and fielding skills.
Reception had a lovely start to the week with a visit to Grappenhall library. Fran and Barbara read us a story, we had a quiz and drew some pictures. They even treated us to a drink and tasty snack! Thank you ladies and many thanks to all of our grown up helpers!
Well, what a busy week we have had so far in our first week back. Here are a few pics of our cricket lessons and Maths.
We have been learning some rules of cricket, worked on our batting (making sure we have our hands the right way round, hitting with the flat side of the bat and keeping our eyes on the ball) and fielding skills (low barrier) and had great fun.
Maths has been about angles and directions. We started off inside, in the classroom and corridor, looked at a map and then moved to outdoor activities which has helped us already. Well done everyone 👌
During the half term holidays our exceptionally talented Bradshaw dance squad travelled down to Oxford to compete in the Great Big Dance Off final. Our team delivered a performance that was full of energy and made everyone cheer and clap along. What a fantastic experience for these talented youngsters. Well done to everyone!
Well done to all of the superstars for this week.
What a fabulous trip to Chester (Dewa) Year 4 had. They impressed us all with their knowledge recall and they enjoyed seeing a few of the Roman sites.
